WHIS will be participating in Hawaii P-20's Cash for College Challenge!  This challenge encourages ALL families to complete the FAFSA (for current 12th grade students).  If we increase our FAFSA completion numbers by 5% from last year (we need at least 70 families to complete the FAFSA by March 15, 2019), the senior class will win $500 to use towards senior year events such as graduation and prom.  Additional cash prizes will be awarded to schools with highest FAFSA completion rates and largest percentage point increase from the previous year.

Even if you aren't thinking of attending college as your first choice for after high school, please complete the FAFSA as a back-up plan so you will have some financial help if you decide last minute to attend.  This will also help increase our percentage of completion and will help to earn money for your senior year events!

If you attend one of our FAFSA Completion Workshops here at WHIS, not only will you receive assistance from a financial aid officer to help complete the FAFSA, but you will be entered to win 2 ADDITIONAL WHIS GRADUATION TICKETS (one entry per family in attendance; 12th grade families only)!!!

You may also complete the FAFSA from the comfort of your own home.  WHIS will still earn credit for your completion of the FAFSA because the application will ask for the name of your high school.

The FAFSA IS NOW OPEN, but be sure that both student AND parent create an FSA ID BEFORE completing the FAFSA.  The earlier you complete the FAFSA, the more money will be available for your aid.

See below for FAFSA information and FAFSA completion workshops at WHIS.
