Scholarships for Military Children
Scholarship value: $2000.00

Deadline: Feb. 11, 2026
The Scholarships for Military Children Program was created to recognize military families' contributions to the fighting force's readiness and to celebrate the commissary's role in the military family community.
The application period for the 2026-2027 academic year will open on December 10, 2025 and close on February 11, 2026. Recipients will be notified of their status by mail on or about May 15, 2026. Due to the volume of applications, non-recipients are not notified.
The Scholarships for Military Children Program is designed to award scholarships annually at each commissary operated by the Defense Commissary Agency worldwide, with funding provided through generous contributions.
For the 2026 2027 academic year, 500 scholarships valued at $2,000 each will be awarded. At least one recipient will be selected at every commissary location where qualified applications are received. Additional awards are allocated on a prorated basis, meaning commissaries with larger applicant pools may have more than one recipient.

HIFICU is proud to announce the establishment of the Hawaiian Financial Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program. The scholarships are awarded to graduating high school seniors or college students looking to further their education at any two- or four-year accredited college or university in the United States.
Applicant must either be a member or a legal dependent of a member whose HIFICU account is in good standing for at least 3 consecutive months prior to the application deadline. Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident and must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.

The Gromet Foundation Scholarship Program
The Gromet Foundation Scholarship provides scholarships to low-income, high-achieving college-bound Hawaii seniors. It’s one of the largest of its kind in the State of Hawaii.
Awards:
$3000.00 for the last dollar of unmet need annually for students attending Hawaii universities
$5000.00 for the last dollar of unmet need for students attending Mainland universities.
