The Marian Masae Kawamura Scholarship 

Harry Kawamura-a lifelong resident of the Haleiwa/Waialua community provided funding for and established The Marian Masae Kawamura Scholarship, in memory of his beloved wife.  The scholarship was initially offered only to the children of members of the Haleiwa Jodo Misson.  It has since been expanded to include members' grandchildren and graduating students of Waialua High School.

Award:  $1000.00

2024 Jordan & Cara Odo Leadership Scholarship

The Jordan & Cara Odo Scholarship Foundation is offering a $1,250 scholarship to a student who demonstrates leadership in his/her community.  To qualify for the scholarship, the student must: 

(1) be a senior at a Hawaii high school; 

(2) attend a two- or four-year college; 

(3) have a minimum GPA of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale).

The Hawaii Education Association (HEA) Scholarship program
The Hawaii Education Association (HEA) is offering two scholarships of $2,000 each in the academic year 2023-2024 to deserving high school seniors (preference will be given to those in preK-12 teaching) who are HEA members, children of HEA members, or grandchildren or legally adopted grandchildren of HEA members.  These one-year scholarships are offered to graduating students who will enroll in any two- or four-year state or nationally-accredited institution of higher learning (preference will be given to those in preK-12 teaching) in the 2024-2025 academic year.

 Deadline: 

Applications, transcripts, forms, and reference letters must be received by Noon on Monday, April 1, 2024, via mail, email, or submitted through the website.

Women's League of Central Union Church-Scholarship program

The Women's League of Central Union Chuch announces the availability of the Kenneth O. & Doris A. Rewick Educational Aid Fund and the Ruth C. Scudder Scholarship.  

Both grants are awarded based on character, scholarship, evidence of financial need, and community service.  

The Kenneth O. & Doris A. Rewick Educational Aid Fund is awarded to students from Hawaii enrolled (or will be enrolled) in any accredited school for undergraduate or graduate college training or for other specialized training beyond high school and includes full-time, part-time, or online students.

The Ruth C. Scudder Scholarship is awarded to a female of Christian affliction from Hawaii who is a student within the University of Hawaii system. Preference is given to UCC members. and upperclassmen.

Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation Scholarship Program

Thank you for considering applying for the Hawaii Rotary Youth Foundation (HRYF) scholarship. HRYF is a non-profit charitable corporation founded in 1976. Its main objective is to provide scholarships for Hawaii youth to further their education after high school. Scholarship funds are provided by Rotarians, investments, gifts, individual donors, and interest from the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Foundation Grant. Each participating Hawaii District 5000 Rotary Club selects a deserving high school student to receive a scholarship to a 4-year college or university in Hawaii or on the U.S. Mainland to earn a baccalaureate degree

Scholarship Awards: For the 2023-2024 year, each participating Rotary Club will select a student to receive a $5,000 or $2,500 HRYF scholarship (as noted on the attached List of Rotary Club Contacts). From those students selected by the Rotary Clubs, an HRYF committee then selects one student attending a mainland university to receive a $10,000 Maurice J. Sullivan scholarship and another student attending a university in Hawaii to receive the $10,000 Joanna L. Sullivan scholarship. These two scholarships will be awarded instead of the $5,000 awarded by the individual Club

Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship

It is important to acknowledge the sacrifices of our servicemembers who preserve our freedom, but that is not enough. The sacrifices of the children of those who served should also be honored. Providing funds to assist these children so they can pursue higher education is a concrete way of showing how much we, as a nation, care.

The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship to support the children of our warriors. These scholarships are awarded to 15 students annually who excel in academics and volunteer in their communities.

Burger King Scholars Program

Through the Burger King Scholars Program, we have awarded nearly $55 million to over 45,000 students across North America since 2000. Our goal is to grant one scholarship for every BK restaurant in North America –that translates to more than $7 million each year!

Created in memory of Burger King Co-Founder James “Jim” W. McLamore, the Burger King Scholars program provides scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $50,000 to high school students and BK employees and their families. Scholarships are intended to offset the cost of attending college or post-secondary vocational/technical school. The Builder's Association Scholarship


Established in 1992, The Builders Scholarship Foundation uses investment income from the scholarship endowment fund to create scholarships for outstanding individuals preparing for a career in construction within the area served by the association. Through members’ generous donations, the fund now exceeds $1,000,000.

Hawaii Self Storage Student Scholarships


Since 2005, Hawai'i Self Storage (HSS) has awarded financial scholarships to eligible students to pursue and obtain a college degree. This program is designed to help and support students financially to develop into future leaders in our community. 10 students will be selected for the scholarships, and they will be awarded based on the required written essay and eligibility.  


 Eligibility:

 Be a Hawai'i resident and be a current high school senior.

 Must graduate from a high school in the State of Hawai'i.  

Be enrolled full-time at a college or university.   

The applicant must be enrolled full-time and submit a letter of acceptance into a recognized academic degree program. 

Applicants must be enrolled with a minimum of 12 credits; HSS does not provide funding for part-time enrollment. 

Complete the required attached application and essay. 


Deadline: Completed application and essay must be emailed by February 15th, 2024.

 Selected recipients will be announced in APRIL 2024.

THE APIA SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM

The APIA Scholarship is our largest scholarship program, open to AANHPI undergraduate students attending any U.S. accredited university or college. Scholarship amounts range from $2,500 one-year awards to $20,000 multi-year awards. APIA Scholars has a special focus on supporting AANHPI students who live at or below the poverty line; are in the first generation of their family to attend college; are representative of the APIA community’s diversity, (geographically and ethnically}, especially those ethnicities that have been underrepresented on college campuses due to limited access and opportunity. Strong applicants would also have an emphasis on community service and leadership.

Big Future Scholarship

Scholarship Value: $40,000

The Scholarship Program is open to seniors in high school who meet the eligibility requirements. If you are an eligible student, by completing a college planning step using your College Board account, you will automatically earn a chance to win a $500 scholarship and an additional chance to win a $40,000 scholarship.

There are no essay, minimum GPA, test score, or citizenship requirements. It’s easy to enter scholarship drawings each month. Simply complete one of the steps before the deadline, and you’ll be automatically entered to win $40,000.

To be eligible for the Big Future Scholarship you:

To encourage students to spend more time preparing for the Common App, Scholarship Guidance has created an annual scholarship to reward students.

To be eligible for the Scholarship Guidance "Common App Scholarship" a student must:

C) Have achieved a GPA of 2.5 or greater during their last academic year.
