GENERAL ANNOUNCEMENTS
Spring ASVAB testing-Gr. 10-12 students
The ASVAB is the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery. it is an aptitude test that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. This test is utilized by the military branches when determining training options.
Spring ASVAB testing will take place in the CCRC on TH April 11, 2024 8:30 am -Noon.

April 9, 2024, during Period 4. The sign-up is available under the College/Military/Career Speaker tab to the left.
12th Annual L.E.I. (Leadership, Exploration, and Inspiration) field trip Open to students in Grades 9-12.
Learn about the various career pathways in the hospitality industry.
When: Monday, April 22, 2024 (Odd day) 8:00 am-5:30 pm *note return time to WHIS*
Where: Hawaii Convention Center and surrounding Waikiki hotels

This session is for you if you have NOT already completed the FAFSA by this date.
Please be sure that you have created an FSA ID for yourself and your Guardian before the session.

NACAC National College Fair - Honolulu Convention Center - FIELD TRIP
Tuesday-October 24, 2023
8:15 am-11:30 am
No cost to students
Free and open to the public, National College Fairs are the perfect place to kick off your college search. Admission representatives from schools across the country are all gathered in one place.
First come, first serve. Seating is limited to 45 students. Priority is given to current Seniors.
Field trip forms will be available beginning Sept. 11, 2023, outside the CCRC (located in the SASH.)
Completed permission slips handed into the CCRC no later than: Tuesday - Oct. 17, 2023

Quarter 4 Parent Night: Post-High School Planning Workshop
Join us on April 18, 2023, at 5:30 PM in the WHIS Library for our last parent workshop of the 2022-23 School year.
It is never too early to start talking about post-high school plans and college! Our Quarter 4 workshop will be presented by Pacific University Associate Director of Admissions, Donna Ramos. Donna will be presenting an overview of the exploration and planning process as well as the college application process.

When: Dec. 6, 2022 during the school day at WHIS Library
What: Complete your UH-Manoa, West Oahu or Leeward Community College enrollment application with help from UH Admissions Officers.
Deadline to sign up is November 18, 2022, 2:30pm.
Next steps after you sign up:
Transcript Request must be submitted to WHIS Registrar (main office) no later than Nov. 23, 2022
