Geographic Exceptions

Under Hawaii laws, all persons attending public school are required to attend the school in the geographic area in which they reside. However, students residing outside the Waialua High and Intermediate School (WHIS) district who wish to attend WHIS for a good cause may file a request for a geographic exception (GE).

Once a parent has filled out a GE form and it has been approved by the receiving school the enrollment process can begin.
